The 5th edition is out!

That’s right, the fifth edition of the Carnival has been posted up at The Daily Transcript.

The next edition will take place on the second Sunday of January, and I am looking for hosts – so if you are interested in hosting, please contact me by leaving a comment on this post, or by e-mailing me (e-mail available over at the skeptical alchemist).

Happy holidays!

Carnival host – I haz it

That’s right, we are all set for the upcoming edition of the Molecular & Cell Biology Carnival, which wll be hosted on December 14 over at The Daily Transcript. Please contact Alex Palazzo with your submissions, or simply use this form.

We are still accepting submissions – in fact, we need more of them! So head over to Alex’s blog and contribute your post.

Last but not least, Open Lab submissions are now closed, and all submitted posts have been listed at A Blog Around The Clock. Good luck everyone – I hope one of our hosts or submitters makes it to the print version!

Molecular and Cell Biology Carnival #4

Yes, the fourth edition is up. Go get a read, and let me know if you want to host in the future. The Carnival goes up on the second Sunday of every month.

We are also still looking for a good banner! If you want to draw us one, you will retain copyright of the image, and we will post a credit line on this blog.

Keeping up with the Carnivals

As I have been away for a while, I have not been able to post links to the latest carnivals that MCB Carnival also supports. So I hope I can make up for some lost time.

Here are the two latest editions of the Skeptics’ Circle: the 97th was hosted over at Evolved and Rat/i/onal, while the 98th was hosted by The Uncredible Hallq.

You can find the latest editions of the other Carnivals we support by exploring the links on the right column.

We already have something like 15 submissions for the upcoming MCB Carnival, and we are now looking for a host! Maybe one of the experienced bloggers who have already hosted plenty can bring the MCB some support. If you are interested, just leave a comment here or on the skeptical alchemist.

The return of the MCB Carnival

The Skeptical Alchemist has been away from the internt for a while, and as a consequence I was unable to organize the Carnival for the summer months. However, fall is here, and so is a nice boradband internet connection!

BlogCarnival is having problems again, so I suggest we stay away from it altogether. October is almost over, but Novemeber is coming up, and the next edition of the Carnival will be hosted on November 9.

If you are interested in hosting, please consult the hosting guidelines and then leave a comment under this post. If you are interested in contributing your post, please consult the submission guidelines, and also leave a comment, with your post’s URL, right here.

The upcoming editions will be published on the second Sunday of every month, and I am looking for hosts…so do get in touch!

Last but not least: you can find the latest edition of the MCB Carnival over at ScienceRoll! Thanks, and apologies for the late link!

Submit your post for MCB Carnival #3

That’s right, the time is coming close again, and all submissions should be in by June 7 using this form. We already have a host for this edition – Bertalan over at ScienceRoll will be your host, and I am very happy that he is taking on the MCB Carnival for the upcoming edition.

If you are interested in hosting the next edition (July 13), shoot me an e-mail at the address in the sidebar, or leave a comment. You can find out more about the Carnival, how to host it, and how to get a button to put on your site on this website. You can also check the official website to find links to all previous editions of the Carnival.

So get this science thing going: send a post to Bertalan using that form and/or spread the good news – there is new science carnival in the blogosphere, and it wants you!

If the form does not work for you, just e-mail me and I will forward your submission to our host.

See you over the week-end with some peer-reviewed blog goodness!

Molecular and Cell Biology Carnival #2 is up!

The Molecular and Cell Biology Carnival #2 has landed over at cotch.net! There is quite an assortment of science posts for the hardcore science blogging lovers.

If you are interested in hosting the next Carnival, or you simply want to submit a post, write to me (address in the sidebar) or leave a comment on this post.

The next edition will be taking place on the second Sunday of June. Stay tuned for more news!

MCB Carnival #2 is coming up…

Yes it is, and we are looking for…well, quite a few things.

  • The next edition of the Carnival (May 11) will be hosted over at cotch dot net, and we need submissions! You can submit your posts using a valid e-mail address using this form
  • The banner contest is still open, so if you’d like to draw us a banner, please let me know. Just leave a comment on this post, or contact me at my personal e-mail
  • We are still looking for hosts! If you are interested in getting some traffic AND spreading some good science, just drop me a line (here or at the address above) and I will add you to our hosting list

I think that does it for now. See you soon, at the second edition of the Molecular and Cell Biology Carnival on May 11 over at cotch dot net (only temporarily down because of database woes).

Buttons to steal + banner contest

I have created a couple of buttons for the Carnival, you can “steal” them and put them on your blog to help promote us!

Copy this code and delete all the parentheses and any line breaks, and the button (linking here) will magically show up on your page…

<a href=http://mcbcarnival.wordpress.com/><img src=”http://mcbcarnival.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/mcb-carnival.gif”></a>

And here comes another companion button, in case you think what I think:

We are also opening a banner contest. The banner’s dimensions are 780 x 200 pixels.  Please  send your banner to me  at  steppenw(somwhere around)gmail (fullstop)com.  Of course, excluding whatever is in brackets. The context is going  to be open  for at least another month – or until there are at least two possible banners to choose from. The author is going to retain the copyright to the image, and is going to get a link from this website.

MCB Carnival #1

The first carnival ever is up, over at the skeptical alchemist. The next edition will be hosted on May 11, 2008. If you are interested in hosting, please contact me through blogcarnival. Also, we have two new additions to the blogroll.
